The Arctic Circle Assembly began in Reykjavík today. The three-day long convention is designed to strengthen the international focus on the future of the Arctic.
The event is held at the Harpa Conference Hall in October every year and has become the largest international gathering on the Arctic, with more than 1500 participants from close to 50 countries in attendance.
Among this year’s speakers are Prince Albert of Monaco, Dagur B Eggertsson mayor of Reykjavík, and François Hollande, the president of France.
