Irish journalists faced 'appalling' weather during Land Rover test drive in Iceland 2073

Journalists from the Irish Times test drove two, new Land Rovers Discovery Sport jeeps in Iceland not too long ago. The test drive did not end well and, according to the article, a €70,000 new Land Rover Discovery Sport sits ‘abandoned and entombed in icy snow’ somewhere on the side of an Icelandic hill.

The motoring journalists were faced with ‘appalling’ weather conditions and snow that ‘was like shards of icy glass being shot horizontally across the mountainside’. The test drive was abandoned and the men were rescued by a tractor snow plough and brought to safety.
