IMO warns of storm in southeast and east Iceland 1876

The IMO has issued a severe weather warning for southeast Iceland today and tomorrow. Frequent northerly gusts of more than 20 metres per second (45 mph) are expected south of Vatnajökull glacier, southeast Iceland, and in the southern part of the Eastfjords. Winds will begin to slowly subside late tonight.

Heavy snowfall expected in north and east Iceland but other areas will remain bright. Minimum temperatures -9 degrees Celsius (15 Fahrenheit) and getting colder.
