Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is Iceland's strongest man, standing at 2.05 meters (6ft 9in) and weighing 190kg (419lbs), and the second strongest in the world. Last night, he starred in his first episode of two ('Mockingbird', S4E7), for the world famous TV-series, Game of Thrones. His character is referred to as 'The Mountain' which is quite fitting as a description for Hafthor himself. His appearance was only a teaser for next week's episode, 'The Mountain and the Viper' (S4E8) where 'The Mountain' will be featured more prominently.

Hafþór told visir.is that he throughly enjoyed the experience and described it as an adventure of sorts. When the GoT team contacted him, he'd already watched all the shows and was quite shocked to be contacted and doubted the reality of the situation.

He says he'd be interested in doing more acting in the future and describes the atmosphere on set as being relaxed and enjoyable.

"I admit I was a little bit nervous", says Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson about his debut on the TV-screen as a character in the world popular TV-series, Game of Thrones.
