Iceland‘s first English- language crime fiction festival, Iceland Noir, begins tomorrow, Thursday. The festival‘s aim is to promote interest in crime fiction and bring crime fiction writers and their readers together.

Events will take place in the Nordic House in Reykjavík and are free of charge. Iceland Noir kicks off with the Icelandic Crime Syndicate‘s annual reading at Sólon tomorrow evening at 8.30 pm.

Among this year‘s featured authors are Peter James and David Hewson from the UK, Johan Theorin from Sweden, Vidar Sundstol from Norway and Antti Tuomainen from Finland.
