Marathon runner Kári Steinn Karlsson competed this weekend in the Bridge Run in Selfoss town and ran 10 km in 30 minutes and 40 seconds. The Árborg Football team decided to line up 11 of its players to race beside Kári in a relay race style format to see if they could beat Kári Steinn as a collective team.
It ends up the team couldn't even get close to Kári, and ended up finishing in 33 minutes and 10 seconds, a significant distance behind Iceland's best long distance runner. This is not possible, the guy is not human, he runs like a robot, said Tómas Kjartansson a player for Árborg.
Kári Steinn will now take it easy the next few days until he flies off to Zürich on Thursday, where he competes in the marathon on Sunday.
