Icelandic woman senior producer for what is expected to become one of 2015’s biggest video games 3523

Fortune has written an article about Sigurlína Ingvarsdóttir, the Icelandic senior producer of Electronic Arts’ upcoming video game Star Wars Battlefront.

An industrial engineer by training, Sigurlína began her career within the gaming industry with CCP, the Icelandic developer of the popular multiplayer game EVE Online, before transitioning to her current role as senior producer at EA‘s DICE Studio where she has been working closely with LucasArts to oversee development of Star Wars Battlefront. The game is scheduled for release on the 17th of November and expected to become one of the year’s biggest video games.

Sigurlína’s former workplace CCP was nominated in the category Persistent Game at the BAFTA Video Game Awards this year for EVE Online – Phoebe. Other nominees were League of Legends, Runescape, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, and World of Tanks.
