An Icelandic vet has advised Icelandic dog-owners not to laugh at their beloved pets after they’ve been groomed.
Guðríður Vestars said it’s not unusual for some dogs to feel embarrassed after a good hair-cut, while others can feel insecure due to the drastic change.

“The dog expects to be greeted as usual by their owner. When the owner bursts into laughter, the dog will feel embarrassed,” the vet said in a radio interview this morning. “I know of one dog that hid under a bed for days until it got used to the new hair-cut.”
However, not all dogs will feel embarrassment after being groomed, some dogs actually love the feel of a new and shorter hair-do and will embrace it.
