Farmer Rebecca Kaad Ostenfeld received an unusual letter in late March from a tourist who had stayed at her farm Hólar in Hvammssveit in west Iceland. The visitors didn’t have Rebecca’s address so drew a map of the farm and its surroundings on the envelope along with a description of the intended recipients. Amazingly, the Icelandic postal service delivered!
A photo of the envelope is now making the rounds on the internet and been featured on Skessuhorn, Mbl.is, Imgur and Reddit.
This is not the first time Rebecca makes international news: a video she posted on Facebook during one of the countless storms that battered Iceland during the winter of 2014 received much attention.
