Icelandic Muslim Association received 63 proposed designs for Iceland's first mosque 3594

According to the National Broadcasting Service, RÚV, the Icelandic Muslim Association received 63 proposed designs for what will become Iceland’s very first mosque. The mosque will be located on Sogamýri in Reykjavík.

Sverrir Agnarsson, the association’s director, says the proposed designs will be presented to the public within the next ten days. Architects from all over the world submitted their designs – the winning design will receive a 2.5 million ISK (17.534 Euros/ 19.664 USD) award.
