The Icelandic Met Office warn of potential avalanches in the the Westfjords. A number of slab avalanches have occurred in the northern part of the region in recent days. An avalanche occurred near the village of Ísafjörður yesterday, Monday.
Hikers are adviced to be aware of the potential for avalanches in the region.
