Icelandic low-cost carrier WOW Air began ticket sales to two new California routes yesterday, Tuesday. The airline will launch directs flights between Keflavík International Airport and San Francisco on 9 June, and to Los Angeles on 15 June. This will be the first time an Icelandic airline offers direct scheduled flights to Los Angeles.
Wow Air will offer four weekly round-trips to Los Angeles and five round-trips to San Francisco, with seats costing as little as 99 USD one-way to Iceland and for 199 USD on connections to Europe.
CEO Skúli Mogensen told USA Today that he expects to announce at least one more U.S. destination this year.
