General practitioners all over the country began to strike for higher salaries at midnight, reports the National Broadcasting Service. The strike, which is only one in a series of strikes organized by the Icelandic Medical Association, is set to last two days.
Doctors at the women’s ward, children’s ward and research division at the National University Hospital are also currently on strike.
