Gylfi Sigurdsson has made the switch back to his former English Premier League employer, Swansea City, after scoring 7 goals last year for Tottenham Hotspur. The Icelandic international enjoyed his previous stint with Swansea and showed his excitement to return to Wales by stating, “It’s good to be back.”
Gylfi does feel bad about leaving Tottenham, however, is happy to be joining up with some of his former teammates at Swansea. “It was very hard to leave a team that I’ve enjoyed playing for but as soon as Swansea came into the picture, this was an easy decision.”
Looking forward, Sigurdsson is hoping that he can earn more playing time at Swansea, and aims to score more goals this season, than the 7 he totaled for Tottenham last year.
