Icelandic product designer Kjartan Óskarsson received this year’s WantedDesign Launch Pad prize. Launch Pad is a special area within WantedDesign dedicated to independent designers and small companies looking for a manufacturer or launching new products.
The jury spoke with 24 exhibitors before awarding the prize to Kjartan Óskarsson for his unique lights. Kjartan exhibited two lighting concepts: HALO, an interactive light, and Forester, a LED lighting group in copper.
The Launch Pad prize consists of participation at WantedDesign 2016 and at WestEdge Design Fair in Los Angeles in October 2015.
