Icelandic airline WOW will launch directs flights between Keflavík International Airport and Pittsburgh International Airport on 16 June 2017. This will be the first time an Icelandic airline offers direct scheduled flights to the US city.
The carrier will offer four weekly round-trips to the Pennsylvania city with connections to 23 destinations in Scandinavia, the U.K. and Continental Europe via Keflavík International Aiport in Iceland. The travel dates will be Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, round the year.
WOW already offers direct flights to six destinations in North America: Boston, Washington, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Montreal, and flights to Miami will begin in April 2017.
WOW is a low-cost airline that has grown rapidly. It was founded in November 2011 and began its flight service in May 2012.
