An Icelandic ice-sculpture artist, Ottó Magnússon is competing in the Ice Alaska World Ice Art Championships 2017. The championship, which is held in Fairbanks Alaska, features artists from around the world. including the US, Russia and China. Ottó is the only Icelander in the competition.
Ottós team includes, in addition to him, three American ice carvers. Their entry, which is a replica of the Sun Voyager sculpture in downtown Reykjavík is in the Multi Block competition, and the Abstract category.

According to Ottó's Facebook page the team has finished carving the sculpture, after 300 hors of work by four men.
One of the four team members, Bradley Croszkiewicz, posted the following photos of the finished piece on Facebook.
