The Icelandair plane that got struck by lightning during a trans-Atlantic flight to Denver on April 7th, is back in Iceland.

A jolt of lightning struck the plane shortly after take-off from Keflavík Airport, damaging the aircraft’s nose. However, the damage did not become evident until the plane landed safely at Denver International airport hours later.
According to Guðjón Arngrímsson, Icelandair Group‘s PR manager, the company is currently waiting for aircraft replacement parts to repair the damage. When that is done, the plane will resume its duties.
