A negotiation meeting at the offices of the State Mediator started at 10:30am yesterday morning and lasted until late last night. Ruv.is reports that another meeting was scheduled for this morning, but informal negotiations continued after the meeting was dismissed and lasted until the early hours of this morning. These informal talks lead to an agreement being reached at 5am this morning.
The agreement will now be presented to members of the union who will vote on whether it’ll be accepted or opposed.
Negotiation committees had been working for nearly 24-hours when an agreement in the on-going wage-dispute with Icelandair pilots was finally reached.
