Icelandair has cancelled 65 flights on June 16th due to a planed 24 hour strike action by the airline's mechanics. The cancellations will affect up to 12 thousand people who are booked on a flight to or from Iceland on Monday.
The mechanics will go on a 24-hour strike as of 6am GMT on Monday.
Air mechanics and the airlines representatives will have mediated negotiations during the weekend. If an agreement has not been reached before June 19th a full-blown strike action wil start that day.
