Icelandair has announced a new year-round service from Aberdeen International Airport in Scotland starting March 2016.
The airline will offer four weekly round-trips to Iceland on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flight time is 2 hours 50 minutes.
Aberdeen is Icelandair’s 26th destination in Scandinavia, the U.K. and Continental Europe.
Icelandair’s hub is at Keflavík International Aiport which is located at Reykjanes peninsula, 30 minutes by car away from Reykjavík.

In March 2016 Icelandair will also start a new year-round service from Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The flight time is 6 hours 20 minutes.
It will be Icelandair’s 15th North American gateway. The airline offers a year-round service from Boston, Chicago-ORD, Denver, Edmonton, Newark, New York-JFK, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington, D.C., and a seasonal service from Anchorage, Halifax, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Orlando, Portland, OR and Vancouver.
