Iceland’s players will be greeted with a homecoming party as they return from their Euro 2016 adventure this afternoon, reports the National Broadcasting Service.
The party will take place at 6.30 pm at Arnarhóll, downtown Reykjavík, the same spot where thousands of supporters gathered yesterday to cheer on Iceland against France. Fans are encouraged to flock to Arnarhóll this evening to welcome “the boys” home from their historic journey.
The team made history by becoming the smallest nation to have made it to the last 16 of the European Championship.
