The 2014 Global Gender Gap Report revealed that Iceland is once again the most evolved country regarding gender equality. This is the sixth consecutive year that the land of fire and ice has the world's smallest gender gap and their other Scandinavian compatriots make up the entire top five countries on the list.
The rankings published each year by the World Economic forum aim to discover the relative gaps between women and men across four key areas: health, education, economy and politics. Iceland received a score of 0.8594, followed closely by Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark rounding out the top five. The country of Yemen came in last place of the 142 countries studied in the report.
