Last winter the Fast and Furious team was in Iceland shooting scenes for the latest installment in the franchise. The scenes were shot in the fishingtown Akranes, north of Reykjavík, and on lake Mývatn in North Iceland. Now the first major trailer for the movie, which will be named The Fate of the Furious has been released, and it's full of car chases, explosions, sexy and fierce ladies and tough-guy talk and piercing looks from Vin Diesel, Jason Stratham, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and the rest of the familiar hardheads. The stuff which has created a massive following of devoted fans for the Fast and Furious movies.

And Iceland plays a major role in the trailer. We see glimpses of a shootout in Akranes, a car chase on lake Mývatn, where a Russian submarine joins the chase by blasting through the ice!
