Gibson will resume his role as Roman Pearce, a character he played in 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, and Furious 7.

In another video Gibson shares the view from his window with fans; White ground and snow-covered mountains. “If you travel, you’ve had some nice views, I’m sure. When I look outside my window I see something like I’ve never seen before: a mountain of ice. Ice everywhere. I’m in Iceland. This is crazy,” he says.

Principal photography for the eight instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise began in Mývatn in March and will continue in Akranes, West Iceland, in April.
