Due to road repairs and maintenance, the Hvalfjarðargöng tunnel will be closed between 8 pm tonight, Friday May 15th, until 6 am on Monday morning. A diversion route will be along the scenic Hvalfjörður road.

According to the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration, some icy patches can be expected today on the roads across Hrafnseyri and Dynjandisheiði, in the Westfjords.
