Hungarian Wizz Air to add flights between Iceland and Poland 3009

The latest addition to the Hungarian airline Wizz Air began offering flights between Keflavík and Gdansk, Poland a week ago, on June 19. However, demand was greater than the airline had anticipated, and so, it will be adding flights. Instead of flying twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, the airline will be flying three times each week between August 5 and September 9.

20 Airlines and 70 destinations
With the addition of Wizz Air the number of airlines flying to Keflavík this summer has reached 20, and Gdansk is added to over 70 different destinations with direct flights to Iceland.

The maiden flight of Wizz Air from Keflavík to Gdansk last Friday was therefore a cause of celebration. Keflavík Airport has a tradition of serving passengers on the first flight to a new route cake and refreshments, while the crew cut a ribbon, commemorating the occasion.
