The people at Icelandic airline Icelandair have just published a lovely video showing how they helped a woman from the United States pulling off a secret proposal in Iceland.
Jennifer travelled to Iceland with her fiancé Matt and had invited him to go scuba diving in Silfra fissure in Þingvellir National Park in South Iceland, where you can swim in the divergent boundary between the Eurasian plate and the North American plate.

Matt did not have a clue of what was in store for him. He thought he was starring in a film for the scuba diving company and had no idea his family was also in Iceland to celebrate with the couple.
You can see how the story unfolds in the short video below.
When you fly with Icelandair across the Atlantic, you can do a Stopover in Iceland for up to seven nights without adding onto your ticket price, and use the days to explore Iceland, both country and culture.
Last winter Icelandair introduced a free service to its stopover passengers. They can now request a Stopover Buddy, an Icelandair employee who acts as their personal host for up to one day.
The Buddies can help with organize various events, from birthdays, to secret proposals, or just help the stopover guests to join in on local celebrations and provide helpful tips about what to do and see while in Iceland.
Icelandair has 18 N-America destinations and 28 destinations in Europe, connecting the continents via Keflavík International Aiport.
