Holuhraun volcanic pollution is expected south of the eruption site today 2095

Volcanic pollution from the eruption in Holuhraun is expected in South Iceland today (Thursday). According to the interactive map by the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) the pollution will drift over a narrow area from Skaftafell National Park to the east to Kirkjubæjarklaustur town to the west.

Tomorrow the gas pollution might be felt to the southeast and east of the eruption site.
