Holuhraun volcanic pollution is expected north of the eruption site today 2011

Volcanic pollution from the eruption in Holuhraun is expected in North Iceland today (Thursday). According to the interactive map by the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) the pollution will drift over an area from Eyjafjörður fjord to the west, to Langanes peninsula in the east. 

Tomorrow the gas pollution is also expected to the north of the eruption site.
