Holuhraun volcanic pollution in large area, from town Vík to town Seyðisfjörður 2188

Volcanic pollution from the eruption in Holuhraun is expected southwest, south and east of the eruption site today (Saturday). According to the interactive map by the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) the pollution will drift over an area from town Vík in Mýrdal to the west to town Seyðisfjörður in the east in the evening.

Tomorrow the sulfur dioxide gas pollution is expected east and northeast of the eruption site in Holuhraun.
