Today (Monday) volcanic pollution from the eruption in Holuhraun expected north and east of the eruption site, from Skjálfandaflói bay to the north and east towards Djúpavogur cove according to the Icelandic Met Office (IMO).

Tomorrow (Tuesday) the volcanic pollution is expected northeast of Holuhraun, from Tjörnes on Langanes peninsula in the west to Mjóifjörður fjord in the east.

Calm winds are forecast for both days, increasing the risk of high values of gas concentration.
