Volcanic pollution from the eruption in Holuhraun is expected in North and Northeast Iceland today (Monday). According to the interactive map by the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) the pollution will drift over an area from Öxarfjörður fjord to the west, to Hérðarsflói bay in the east.
Tomorrow the gas pollution is also expected to the east of the eruption site.
