Holuhraun eruption video captured from a low flying drone 1451

9. des 2014 11:34

Scientists with the Institute of Earth Scieneces captured this great video of the Holuhraun eruption and the new lava field yesterday (September 12th). It was shot from a drone 100 m (330 ft) above the ground. Gleaming in the background, just a few kilometers away, is Vatnajökull, Europe's largest ice cap where the huge 11 km (6.8 mi) wide Bárðarbunga caldera is shaking relentlessly.
