Hindu statesman calls for a plot of land for Hindu temple in Reykjavík 2345

American Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has commended the Reykjavík City Council for donating land for the Ásatrú pagan temple that will be completed next year.

Rajan Zed, who is the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, used the opportunity to voice his hope that the city council would also donate some land for a Hindu temple when local Hindus are ready to build their temple. Currently there is no official Hindu community in Iceland.

Rajan Zed issued his statement in Nevada and described the construction of the pagan temple as a step in the positive direction for Iceland and Europe, signaling inclusivity and freedom of religion, Zed pointed out that this seemed to be an effort of the descendants of Vikings to get back to their ancestral roots and the world should welcome it.
