The boat sank in the harbour of Sandgerði, a small fishing village located on Reykjanes peninsula in Southwest Iceland, several years ago. North Sailing bought the boat, or what was left of it after it had been lifted from the harbour. Despite everything the hull of the boat was in good enough condition to warrant a restoration. The boat is the sixth old Icelandic oak fishing boat restored by North Sailing.
