The four-time Olympic competitor and her pals visited Tröllaskagi peninsula in North Iceland and spent their days heli skiing the majestic peaks of the area.
The mountains around Eyjafjörður fjord rise steepely from the dark waters of the fjord, creating quite unique skiing surrondings.
Local tour operators Bergmenn Mountain Guides offers specialized heli ski tours in Tröllaskagi from February until June. Skiers are transported by helicopter to the peak of a mountain at almost 1524 metres/ 5000 ft), where they will be awed by the million-dollar oceanic view, and where they will begin their descent on pristine, untouched slopes.
