“We were enjoying our morning coffee when two heifers passed by our window. They had just been released out to grass for the first time since winter but managed to escape from our neighbour, farmer Alli at Hrafnkelsstaðir farm, and wandered over to us. I followed them up onto our veranda where they peeked through windows and seemed very curious about their surroundings. Before I knew it, one of them had climbed into our hot tub and made quite a splash,” explains farmer Guðjón Birgisson in an interview with local news agent Sunnlenska.is.

The cow managed to climb back out of the hot tub, unharmed and clean, and was returned to its owner shortly after. “Alli came and picked both of them up. At least I returned one of them freshly washed,” the Guðjón concluded with a laugh.
