Rain showers are expected all over the country but will become locally heavy in the south and southeast.
The heavy rainfall during the weekend caused rivers and streams in South Iceland to swell and overflow: Hverfisfljót’s water levels have increased substantially and water levels near Skálmarbrú bridge have reached a record high.
