Hafþór Július, better known as "The Mountain", reclaims Europe's strongest man title 2684

The Icelandic strongman and Game of Thrones star Hafþór Júlúus Björnsson is the strongest man in Europe. Hafþór, who is known as The Mountain, won the title on Saturday evening at the Giants Live competition in Leeds in the UK. Hafþór has won the title twice before, in 2014 and 2015. Last year he lost to British strongman Laurence Shahlaei. 

Hafþór won the competition with 63 points, 2 points ahead of his closest competitor, British strongman Eddie Hall. The competition was very even until the end, but ultimately Hafþór emerged victorious in the Atlas Stones, where the competitors lift five giant round stones, weighing between 275-410 lbs (125-186 kg), thus clinching victory over Hall.

The two giants left the rest of the competition in the dust, as none of the other nine competitors had ever posed a serious challenge to Hafþór Július or Eddie Hall.
