The Guardian predicts the film Everest will likely to be nominated for an Oscar this year. The film, directed by Baltasar Kormákur, is based on the real events of the 1996 Mount Everst disaster, which lead to the deaths of a number of climbers, and is set to premier on the 18th of September. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Keira Knightly, Jason Clarke, Robin Wright, Sam Worthington, and Emily Watson.
