Conditions for the Aurora seem promising for tonight in the south western areas of the country and in the north east on Wednesday. A forecast of grade 4 has been issued on both nights by the Icelandic Met Office (IMO).
To be able to see the northen lights, the sky needs to be clear, and particulary away from the bright lights of towns and cities. If you´re in the south west, or north during these days, this is your chance to view the natural phenonmeon.

However, the weather range for the capital area over the next few days will stay mild. Tuesday (tomorrow), will be quite a blustery day with temperatures reaching a high of 3 C (37 F). From Wednesday onward, we can expect rain in the morning, later devloping into snow showers. The temperature range is between -6 to 4 C (21.2 to 39.2 F). But quite a mild week for the weather.
