A 32 year old animal activist, Arnar Feuerhahn, from Berlin, Germany has chained himself atop a ship owned by Hvalur HF, an Icelandic whaling company.
The protest is aimed at Iceland‘s controversial whaling legislation that allows 154 Fin whales to be hunted each year in the waters surrounding Iceland‘s coastline.
The protester intends to stay chained to the mast of the ship for the next 48 hours to raise awareness about whaling and its harmful effect on the deteriorating whaling population.
