The index combined three main topics to generate one worldwide ranking on gay happiness: Public opinion, public behaviour and life satisfaction. Iceland ranked the highest, followed by our neighbours: Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Gay men were the unhappiest in Uganda and Sudan.
