The Icelandic design company Gagarin won two awards in the category for digital design at this year’s European Design Awards, reports the National Broadcasting Service. The European Design Awards is organised by 15 leading European design magazines and was first held in 2006.
The company, which develops highly interactive media solutions, won first prize for their work for the Oil and Gas exhibition in the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology in Oslo, and second prize for a project for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
“I’ve been told that this is the most prestigious design award in Europe. The feeling when we were told that we’d won first and second prize in the same category was indescribable,” Geir Borg, Gagarin’s managing director, said.
