The cast and crew of Sky Atlantic’s hit series, Fortitude, are set to return to Reyðarfjörður on 1 February to film the show’s second series.
A team of set designers has spent the past weeks transforming the village of Reyðarfjörður, east Iceland, into the fictional town of Fortitude.
According to the National Broadcasting Service, the rest of the crew will arrive at Egilsstaðir Airport on 1 February. Filming will take place from 1 February until 28 February, and again between 28 March and 25 April.
Fortitude’s premiere episode was watched by 1.7 million viewers. The show‘s creator, Simon Donald, has confirmed that the majority of the cast will be back for the second series. Most of the people who are left standing are coming back and will be supplemented by some people from Fortitude that we haven't met yet, and a couple of in-comers, he told Digital Spy. According to the website, series two will “delve deeper into the mysteries of Fortitude”.
