The popular comedian turned mayor, Jón Gnarr, will head to New York to promote his new book, Gnarr: How I Became the Mayor of a Large City in Iceland and Changed the World. The memoir will hit book stores on June 24th, and Gnarr will be at Strand Book Store in NYC on June 19th in an effort to promote his book.
In his book, Gnarr explains his formation of the Best Party, and the experiences he had while running Iceland’s biggest city, Reykjavik. Melville House will be publishing Gnarr’s comedic take on the political arena stating, “If there’s two things we like at Melville House, its comedy and political activism, and we’ve published a lot of each.”
