If you want to know nothing about the next season of the HBO series Game of Thrones you should probably not read any further!
Photos posted to Twitter and Instagram by foreign travellers visiting Iceland indicate that Icelandic landscapes will play a major role in the seventh season of the popular series. Crew members have been spotted seen filming at the Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon.
Ian Glen, who plays Jorah Mormont, has been seen among the actors at Svínafellsjökull glacier, an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull glacier. Actors who play other important characters have also been spotted: Joe Dempsie, who plays Gendry and Paul Keye who plays Thoros of Myr have been seen on location.
Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, is also in Iceland.

The website Watchers on The Wall argues that the most exciting news is probably that Alan Taylor is directing the shooting in Iceland: Taylor directs the sixth episode in the seven episode season, which suggests that events North of the Wall play an important role in the lead-up to the season finale.
The Game of Thrones crew will remain in Iceland throughout next week shooting scenes at several locations in Iceland.
