Mondays to Thursdays the atmosphere is quite laid back, but on weekends it becomes loud, sweaty and seriously crowded. SLIPPBARINN is situated in the Marina Hotel and overlooks the harbour. It´s a popular place for aperitifs and easily accommodates large groups. When it comes to the décor, it’s obvious that Scandinavian design was the inspiration when the bar area was designed; simple yet colourful and functional.

Skúli is situated byt the small Fógetagarður square. It’s rather small space, but has a great selection of local and international micro brews for beer connoisseurs to enjoy and the staff is friendly and chatty.

KEX HOSTEL BAR is what you could call the epitome of quirky hipsterism. Situated in what used to be a cookie factory with a fantastic view of the bay, the bar offers tasty craft beers on draft and bistro-style food in case you get peckish.

A little tip: Kexið has a large outdoor patio and a little park out back which are worth a visit during summer.
B5 is a modern-looking bar equipped with its own burger joint at the back. It tends to get extremely busy during weekends, so be prepared to get bumped and jostled while trying to make your way to the bar through the crowd.
Crowd: Young and trendy. A place frequented by football- and handball players alike.
A little tip: A long queue will form outside B5 shortly after midnight. Arrive early if you want to skip it.
