Deplar farm, located in Fljót in Skagafjörður in North Iceland, received its first guest on Thursday, reports Morgunblaðið. The luxury accommodation is run and owned by travel company The Eleven Experience which specialises in custom-made experiences around the world.
On the company’s website, Deplar is described as “one of the most unique properties in the Eleven collection”. The farm is set in a remote valley, surrounded by tall mountains. Among the activities offered at Deplar are heli-skiing in Tröllaskagi “from mountain tops all the way to the ocean's shores”, fly fishing, bird watching, and hikes.
The building boasts 12 spacious rooms, and apartments of various sizes, a restaurant, bar, outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs, a massage parlour, sauna, gym, and a meeting room.
According to Morgunblaðið, accommodation at Deplar cost 1,750 USD per person per night. The prize includes meals, drinks, and transportation.
